WhatsApp has officially announced that iOS-powered devices will be getting the support of passkeys and this will enable them to log in to the WhatsApp account in a more secure and convenient way by using Face ID or Touch ID as well as passcode.
The new feature will prevent them from depending on OTP-based verification to login to their account. If you are not aware then passkeys are digitally created authentication tokens stored locally on the device for an extra layer of security.
