The view once photos and videos feature is nothing new on WhatsApp as the previously was made available on desktop and web clients along with the mobile application. The feature is still available in the mobile application but the same was removed from web and desktop apps due to security problems.
But now it is reported that the company has reintroduced the feature for web and desktop applications. It is currently testing with a few users only but the developers of WhatsApp are believed to roll out the feature for all the users in the coming days.
