X which is the new name of Twitter and Elon Musk recently rebranded the name and logo of the platform. He actually wanted to shape the platform for everything which means you can make able to make calls and make payments among others. However, it seems that the concept is not attracting users as today we got a new piece of information which is suggesting that X is hitting record low downloads.
It is reported that the platform is facing almost 30% less number of downloads in the past two months which means the problem is happening after the rebranding. The web version of the social media platform can able to access using twitter.com, but it also witnessed a decrease in traffic, with global visits down by 10% in August compared to the previous year.
The platform usually received an addition of 15 to 30 million new users monthly since 2011 but now it is reported that “X” secured a mere 10 million users only between August and September this year. It is also said that the app is also finding things difficult in user retention. The platform had daily active users around 253 million in the month of July but it has now decreased to 249 million in September. The monthly active users number is also down from 398 million to 393 million within the same time frame.
