Xiaomi to launch the new Xiaomi 15 Ultra before the end of this month, and the top most executive of the brand – Lu Weibing, the General Manager of the Xiaomi brand, revealed some important details about the device through a live broadcast in China. Well, Digital Chat Station has shared a Weibo post summarizing the key highlights from his live broadcast.
It is confirmed that the upcoming device will be coming with a 50-megapixel primary sensor (1/0.98-inch, 23mm, f/1.63), 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera (14mm, f/2.2), 50-mgeapixel telephoto camera (70mm, f/1.8) with 10cm telephoto macro, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (1/1.4-inch, 100mm, f/2.6).
The device supports in-sensor zoom (ISZ) with lossless output at 200mm and 400mm, offering multiple focal lengths including 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 4.3x, 8.7x, and 17.3x.
The upcoming device is expected to feature a 6.73-inch AMOLED screen with 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution along with Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0 protection, and the device will feature an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate. It is also reported that the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra will come with the power of the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile processor along with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
It is also reported that the device will be housing a massive 5,410mAh battery along with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging, and the company will be including the wired charger inside the box. The upcoming device will also feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The device is reported to feature three 50MP sensors (primary, ultrawide, and telephoto) and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 4.3x optical zoom. The device will also come with a 32MP front camera. It was previously reported that the company will be using a 1-inch-type Sony LYT-900 sensor.
It is expected that the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone will come with a starting price of €1,499 in the markets of Europe.
