Xiaomi Announced New CC Brand For Fashion Trendy Youth

From past few days we are hearing about new smartphone series from Xiaomi with Meitu brand, which they acquired last year. Also, we were expecting that Xiaomi will unveil two new smartphones named as Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e today itself, but the actual scenario is different. Instead they just announced their new sub brand and the story behind this new brand which is named as Xiaomi CC.

Lei Jun (Xiaomi’s CEO) explained about this CC brand, that CC means Colourful & Creative. This sub brand will target those teenagers and youths who are more into the fashionable design and selfies, in short this brand will be more of a girly brand. Based on previous leaks the phone will have creamy white colour with pinkish shade. Also the Mi CC9 will have flip camera, so the selfies will be as good as rear camera pictures.

This series will be a combination of great camera hardware with more advanced beauty filters and AI algorithms for more beautiful selfies. Smartphones under this series are developed by Chic & Cool 90 team, which consists of Arts students to design the phones based on current trends. In short this series will be for those who are not much into the technical aspects of smartphone.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. Unlike what we expected, Xiaomi just announced this new brand, not any smartphone under this brand. But we can expect two smartphones under Xiaomi CC brand very soon. Also if this smartphone will launch in India, we can expect that this brand will replace Redmi Y series, which is based on selfie camera. Now what are your thoughts on this new brand? Let us know in the comment section below. Also stay tune with us for more information.
