The electronics manufacturing company Xiaomi has unveiled the MITU Children’s 4G Phone Watch 5C in China and as the name sounds it is made with kids in mind as the target audience.
It features a 1.4-inch coloured display through which children can interact with basic apps using touch. It supports 4G connectivity using which kids can video call their parents or friends thanks to a wide-angle camera upfront. The watch will receive 4G signals and support three major Chinese telecoms.
The Watch also offers XiaoAI voice assistant and can be dunked in water up to 20 metres as it is waterproof. It comes with precise location tracking that allows tracking of children from home to school and packs a 900mAh battery. As it’s a smartwatch for kids, it supports keeping tabs on the day-to-day schedule of the children’s daily activities.
The MITU Children’s 4G Phone Watch 5C by Xiaomi will be sold for CNY 379 ($58). It will be available for purchase from JD.com and other major online retailers.
