Xiaomi Launches 40 inch Mi TV 4A in China. Expected to launch in India as New Teaser Suggests

Xiaomi seems to be in no mood to settle down when it comes to new product launches. The company has recently launched the Mi TV 4 in India and is now teasing another Mi TV series launch on 7th March via its Twitter handle. Now just a day before the India launch the Chinese tech giant has launched a new variant of Mi TV 4A in China.Mi TV 4A

The Mi TV 4A is a Smart TV with Voice Control along with thin design. The new Mi TV 4A model sports a 40-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixel) panel and is positioned between the 32-inch and 50-inch models of the series.  The Mi TV 4A offers TV ranging in different size from 32-inch, 43-inch, 49-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch with 40inch being the latest addition(only China availability).

Integrated with Xiaomi’s own PatchWall OS, Mi TV 4A features direct type backlight, 178-degree, refresh rate of 60Hz, 5000:1 static contrast ratio, and 8ms dynamic response. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz Amlogic L962-H8X processor along with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It also comes with Mali 450 GPU with up to 750MHz. It has two 8W speakers with Dolby and DTS enhancements.Mi TV 4A

The new Mi TV 4A 40-inch model supports voice control, which enables users to use the remote with built-in mic to give voice commands to control certain functions without pressing a single button. On the connectivity front, the new Mi TV 4A includes Bluetooth 4.2 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, two HDMI ports, one AV port, two USB ports, Ethernet, one analog signal DTMB, and comes with Bluetooth-based voice control via the remote.

It will be interesting to see if the Mi TV 4A is launched in India. Xiaomi is already teasing a new series launch on its Twitter handle with various hashtags like #SwitchToSmart, #SwitchToStyle and more recently, #SwitchToAmazingSound.

The company’s official website accidentally went live with the purchase page of the Mi TV 4C. The accidental leak also revealed the price of the 43-inch version – Rs 27,999 which is expected to feature a Full HD display panel.
