Xiaomi held a launch event and unveiled a lot of smartphones for the global market. These phones are from the infamous Redmi Note 9 Series and the Mi Note Series. Let us take a look at the details of both the devices.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite
The Mi Note 10 Lite comes with a 6.47-inches AMOLED display. The panel sports a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. This brings the pixel density of 398 PPI. It supports DC Dimming and HDR10. The gorilla glass 5 protected screen is 3D curved, promising an immersive experience. The handset s made of glass on both sides with Aluminum alloy in the sides.
The rear camera setup houses a 64MP primary Sony IMX686 Sensor. The secondary camera is an 8 MP camera sensor with 120-degree ultra-wide field of view. Additionally, there is a 5 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP macro camera. Unlike other smartphones these days, the Mi Note 10 Lite has a double-tone LED flash as well. The selfie shooter inside the waterdrop notch is a 32-megapixel one. The rear cameras are capable of shooting 4K videos and slo-mo videos at 960 fps.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 618 GPU. The RAM is available only with 6 GB configuration. But the storage variants offered are 64, 128 or 256 GB. The 5,260 mAh battery will last a whole day and more. There is a 30 Watt Charger inside the box which charges the phone in under 90 minutes. The software is based on MIUI 11 on top of Android 10.
Extra features include an IR blaster, NFC, LTE and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone weighs 208 grams and is 9.67mm thick.
Redmi Note 9 Series
The company announced Redmi Note 9 Pro as the top-most variant in the series. This is the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max launched in India last month. The Redmi Note 9 Pro has 6.67″ IPS LCD panel with punch hole at the centre. The phone is powered by the new Snapdragon 720G and has a 5,020 mAh with a 30 Watt charger that can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in just 30 minutes. The rear quad camera setup is lead by a 64-megapixel sensor.
The next phone in the series is the Redmi Note 9S, which was launched as Redmi Note 9 Pro in India. This phone is quite similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro with the same processor, Snapdragon 720G, 5,020 mAh and glass body. The significant change is in the 48MP primary rear camera as opposed to a 64MP one. The 48MP sensor is the GM1 sensor from Samsung. Other difference lies in the Watt rating of the charger in the box. The charger inside the box is rated at 18 Watts as opposed to 30 Watt. Unlike the others, the punch-hole cut out is left centred and houses a 13-megapixel selfie camera. In the back, we have a 48-megapixel primary camera, which is the same GM1 sensor from Samsung used in the Redmi Note 9. The other three rear cameras are same across the Redmi Note 9 Series with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle and two 2-megapixel sensors for depth sensing and macro mode.
The battery capacity is the same 5,020 mAh, and the 18 Watt charger is present here too. The RAM configurations are either 3 or 4GB and the storage is fixed at 64 GB or 128 GB capacity. The phone ships with MIUI 11 on top of Android 10. The extra features include an IR blaster, NFC, a fingerprint scanner at the back and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
