The world’s most favourite video hub YouTube has introduced a new AI powered feature on the board and the same is called Jump ahead. This particular feature is only available for YouTube Premium users. So let’s get into the article to check out the future in detail.
The newly added feature of YouTube will enable users to skip commonly skipped sections of videos in a better manner. The feature uses machine learning and viewing data to identify the most frequently skipped visuals of a video.
The feature will be available after double tapping to skip in a video and you will get a button indicating a jump to most viewers typically skip and the same will be able through a new jump ahead button at the bottom corner of the screen and disappears if you not use that button immediately.
The feature was initially tested in March and now the company is rolling out to more Premium customers and the same will be available under Settings > try experimental new features section in the mobile application of YouTube.
The latest feature is available for the Android platform and for English videos only but the company might expand the feature for more regions in the near future. It is worth mentioning that the new feature of YouTube is currently available only in the United States.
