Being a content creator, I personally faced a big challenge while uploading a thumbnail as YouTube restricted file size to just 2 MB and we need to use several tools to reduce the size of the thumbnail to upload along with a new content on the official TechnoBugg channel or on my personal YouTube channel.
However, now YouTube has announced a new update on this area and it is a big relief for the creators. So let’s get into the article to check out the details.
It is officially announced that YouTube has increased the thumbnail file size limit and now you can upload up to 50 MB. So YouTube will enable you to upload thumbnail in 4K resolution and you can forget the restriction of 2 MB. Yes YouTube now allows to upload a file size up to 50 MB.
The mobile users can only upload a thumbnail up to 2 MB and if you are sharing a podcast from mobile then you can upload a thumbnail up to 10 MB of size. But if you share the same content using a desktop then you can upload a larger thumbnail which means the new 50 MB of file.
