Following a pile of requests from its users, Youtube Music has added a feature to its app which allows you to download and play music offline. This feature is enabled via an update and it is being rolled out in Google play store.
Make sure you are in the latest version of the app and once you’re done the procedure is as simple as the one in the Youtube(videos). You,ll find the three small dots alongside the videos. Tapping the dots will give you four options including “Save to offline songs”. Besides, users can also choose the formats in which they want to download the song. It includes formats like 360p, 720p and audio only.
Once downloaded, songs are accessible anytime under the accounts section. This feature comes as a boon for many users who searched for third party apps to get their songs offline. We wonder how Google missed out this issue for a while but thankfully it is now addressed. Reliable sources also hint at a fusion of Google play music and Youtube Music as a single service to avoid conflicts.
