YouTube has officially announced that the company has reduced the number of subscribers for its Shopping affiliate program. The company is now opening the feature to creators with 500 subscribers and this is actually opening the program to a wider range of participants within the YouTube Partner Program (YPP).
The latest update will enable creators to join the affiliate program if they meet the criteria including: If they are currently enrolled in the YouTube Partner Program along with a minimum of 500 subscribers and also need to meet all other standard YouTube eligibility guidelines.
With the new update of YouTube policy, more creators can able to earn commissions by tagging products from various brands directly within their content. This feature is integrated across YouTube’s primary video formats, including: The standard Video-On-Demand (VOD) along with YouTube Shorts, and Live streams.
