The popular online streaming platform YouTube has officially introduced the YouTube Shopping feature in India and the same will enable creators to offer direct buying links. The company has started rolling out the feature to all eligible creators. So let’s get into the article to check out the details.
YouTube Shopping is now available in India and the same is introduced in the country in collaboration with Flipkart and Myntra for the service. Creators can be able to offer direct buying links to their views and the feature is available to selected creators at the moment.
The feature is currently available to those who have over 10000 subscribers on YouTube. Viewers will be getting a new shopping icon on the official YouTube application and website for both long form and Shorts.
They can be able to browse through a catalogue of products which can either be Merchandise or any other items. The buying links will only be from Flipkart and Myntra at the moment of time but we believe that YouTube will be expanding its collaboration with other shopping platforms like Amazon.
Creators will be able to earn a small Commission when the viewer makes a purchase using the new YouTube Shopping feature. It is worth mentioning that this particular feature will not be available on YouTube Kids.
