YouTube is changing the way how it counts views for Shorts and it is a massive news for various content creators. Earlier, YouTube required a short to play for a specified time to count a view for that particular short. However, now YouTube will count based on when a short starts to play or replay.
This new change will come into effect on March 31st which means in next cup of hours. It is officially confirmed by updating the new piece of information on the support page of YouTube.
The new change is also removing the minimum watch time requirement for views on shorts completely. It is also said that the new change will not affect creators earnings or how they become eligible for the partner program of YouTube.
