UPI is a very popular payment method in India, and everyone depends on it as well. We need to enter a PIN to complete the transactions, but now the authorities have made things easier by integrating biometrics.
NPCI has officially announced that the biometric payments system has been enabled across all UPI apps. So the users of PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, and BHIM will benefit from the biometric options.
It is worth mentioning that Android users will get fingerprint support while iPhone users will receive the support of Face ID. So you don’t need to enter your PIN to complete a transaction and this will make things faster.
Having said that, you can use biometrics to send the money up to Rs 5000 and above that, you need to enter your PIN.
