Recently, the Taiwanese smartphone brand faced the court case and that banned the company from launching any devices in India with the branding of Zenfone. And this made the company to forcefully change the name or pause its mobile operations in India.
At that time, we expected that the company will rename its branding for the mobile devices, and as expected, the company will now launch its latest Asus Zenfone 6 as Asus 6z in the market of India.
The smartphone has been listed on Indian e-commerce website Flipkart as “Asus 6z”, and the teaser page also reveals that the device will be launched in India on June 19. Having said that, at the press time the website of Asus India still shows the device as ZenFone 6 and says that it’s coming soon on Flipkart.
Speaking about the specs, the device comes with flip-up camera setup which will allow you to flip the rear camera to capture selfies and video calls.
The device is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 855 processor and paired up to 8 GB RAM along with 256 GB offer internal storage.
It sports 6.4-inch ‘NanoEdge’ FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 92 percent screen-to-body ratio, along with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The new Zenfone 6 runs on Android 9 Pie with ZenUI 6 atop, and the company promises to upgrade the smartphone to Android Q and Android R.
