As everyone know that this year the King of budget mid range smartphone is Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3. Launched in India back in March, this phone is still doing well here in Indian market. It’s one of the most powerful phone in this category. Even the battery of this phone is top notch. Now according to latest rumors Xiaomi may launch Redmi Note 4 in India on January 2017. This phone was released in China back September this year with MediaTek’s Helio X20. So it means that Xiaomi has to launch another variant of Redmi Note 4 with Qualcomm’s processor.

Talking about the specs this Redmi Note 4 has 5.5” Full HD 1080p IPS display with 401ppi & 2.5D curved glass on top. This phone comes with 2 storage variant i.e. 2GB/3GB RAM & 16GB/64GB storage respectively, also there’s a hybrid sdcard slot. Coming to camera, it has 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash & a 5MP front facing camera. Yes the rear camera is a downfall from the 16MP to 13MP but last year also Xiaomi changed the camera sensor, so we can expect a change this year also. There’s also a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera.
It packs an almost same 4100mah battery compared to Redmi Note 3’s 4050mah battery. Regarding processor, as I mentioned above the processor should be a Qualcomm processor, so according to rumors it will have Snapdragon 625 octa core processor clocked @ 2Ghz. Yes the processor also seems to be downgraded but as Snapdragon 625 is built on 14nm process, the battery life should be insane with the huge battery that it carries.
So what’s changed, well as I mentioned 64GB storage option for 3GB RAM. & the built is also changed, as you can see in the picture above the entire back is made with metal & there are antenna lines as well. The back also has a matte finish & chamfered edges are also here this time.
Redmi Note 4 will come with Android 6.0.1 marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top. The starting price is expected at Rs.11999.
