Facebook brings Stories feature on its main app

After Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, the social networking copies Snapchat feature in its main app. With the latest update Facebook app gets the stories feature, along with camera effects.

The stories feature on the Facebook app, will also disappear the photo or video after the 24 hours of period. The Facebook Story will appear top of the News Feed, and your story will not appear in the news feed or timeline unless the user share it there.

Facebook always cares for privacy of its users, and the social networking giant brings Direct feature with the stories. The Direct feature will allow users to share your Facebook Story to a particular friend, the story which you share through Direct can only be seen once by your friends. Your friends can replay the story once, but users have to replay it immediately after they seen the story for the first time, users can also reply.

Facebook also introduced camera effects, which can be used while sharing photo or video on the Story or Direct. The company has also teamed up with well-known brands to bring masks for upcoming movies like Alien: Covenant, Despicable Me 3, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Power Rangers, Smurfs: The Lost Village and Wonder Woman.

The new feature started to roll out to the Android and iOS devices, so check for the latest version of the app.
