Key Points:
- Google is in the final stage of preparation to roll out Android 14.
- It will bring a new capability that will tackle full screen advertisements.
- The new capability will be enabled by the end of this year.
We have lots of applications on the Google Play Store and free applications comes with advertisements. Some of them offer full screen advertisements which is pretty irritating. Well, Google is now having an answer for this. The company is implementing a new setup that will help users with the latest Android 14 operating system to tackle full screen advertisements.
The upcoming Android 14 will enable users to decide which applications can offer full screen set up by offering their permission and if you didn’t offer permission then that particular application will not offer a full screen advertisement or anything.
In Android 14, you can manually revoke the USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT permission from apps so they can't send you full-screen notifications.
Later this year, Google Play will auto revoke this permission from newly installed apps that don't provide calling or alarm functionality! pic.twitter.com/plCSZDz94f
