Seems like Apple is doing a lot of upgrades into their existing devices. Recently they launched AirPods Pro that was vastly improved over previous AirPods. Now today Apple unveiled the new 16 inch MacBook Pro. This 16-inch model is in talks in the community for almost a year, and today it’s official without any prior teaser or something. This laptop not only has a bigger display, but a lot of upgrades based on consumer feedback. So without further ado, see what this new MacBook packs within.
Built & Design:
Starting off with the display, as said before this MacBook Pro now has a 16 inch Retina display with same 3072×1920 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. It has DCI P3 enabled, has HDR10+ support, and 500 nits of brightness. It’s very slightly bigger than 15 inch model, and the difference is noticeable only when putting both side by side. The outer chassis is dame as previous MacBook. And the touch bar is also present here.
Now coming to keyboard, this is where Apple made a significant change. It’s been a complaint by MacBook users since along that the keyboard is not much clicky to type, this resulting in an average typing experience. This is solved with this new MacBook as this new ‘Magic Keyboard’ has a lot better response while typing. It has a 1mm travel space, which is more than half from the previous MacBook Pro. Another big design change is from the inside i.e. thermals. This new MacBook Pro has the way better cooling system as compared to it’s predecessors. There are two fans underneath now, and very efficient cooling pipes.
Specifications:
This 16 inch MacBook Pro has the latest 9th Gen Intel Core i7 and i9 CPU with clock speed up to 5Ghz. There’s up to 64GB of RAM and whopping 8TB of internal SSD storage. For graphics, it has improved AMD Radeon Pro 5500M and Radeon Pro 5300M. It’s VRAM goes up to 8GB, which is highest for any MacBook till now. It has a big 100W battery, which is supposed to be the largest for any normal laptop/notebook. There’s a slightly upgraded 96W adaptor to charge this. Regarding connectivity, it has four Thunderbolt 3.0 Ports, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi. It weighs at 2KGs now.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. While this 16 inch MacBook Pro has a lot of changes as compared to previous 15 inch model, the base price is exactly the same.
