As expected Apple is bringing changes in their software hand in this WWDC event. Apart from unveiling WatchOS 5, Apple also unveiled the new upgrade of MacOS, the MacOS Mojave. This update brings changes mainly for the efficient work. So let’s see what this new MacOS packs in.

Dark Mode:

Now with MacOS Mojave, Apple is bringing the support of Dark Mode on Mac. Now users can activate Dark Mode for more convenient work throughout the dark environment. Most of the Apple apps do support the dark mode and changes the colour layout according to the mode we select, third-party developers will soon support this Dark Mode. The wallpapers will also make changes, and it will be called as dynamic wallpapers. The environment in wallpaper will change according to the time. It’s mainly divided into 4 parts; morning, day, evening, and night.

Stacks:
With this new update, the stacks got improved a lot. Now the files & folders will be settled automatically based on the file type, like images, documents, videos, and any particular format type. Sets will be created based on the metadata you set, like any company’s name, it will set up those files together as well.

Finder:
Now the Finder section also gets more optimized. In Gallery, you can locate the images by scrolling through big previews. It will not just work for images and videos, but also with other files like documents. Now see the preview of any document like PDF file. With quick actions, you can directly perform few tasks from the preview itself. Like trimming the video, rotate an image, etc.

Screenshot:
With this new OS, screenshot got a lot of improvements. Now, screenshot tool gets new options like starting the timer, showing or not showing the cursor, an option to select the folder where you want to save the screenshot. Also, you can share the screenshot right after taking it, and this will not save the screenshot in your Mac. So the Mac will be free from unnecessary screenshots.

Continuity Camera:
With this new feature, the photos from iPhone can be taken directly from Mac. In short, Mac will open the camera app in iPhone, click the image or scan the document, and display it on Mac itself. It will save the time of transferring the image on to the Mac.

FaceTime:
With MacOS Mojave, the number of people connecting together on FaceTime will increase. Now total 32 people can connect in 1 single FaceTime with the help of any Apple device like Mac, iPhone, iPad, and even Apple Watch.

iOS Integration:
With this new update, Mac users can experience few popular iOS apps on Mac. Four popular apps from iOS will be available on the latest MacOS. These apps are Stock, News, Home, and Voice Memos.
This MacOS Mojave will have other security-related improvements as well. And as always the Siri is improved on to the new MacOS. This new update will arrive on support Mac devices later this fall. The support list is not mentioned as of now.
