Back in last year, the tech giant Apple unveiled the Watch Series 3 along with iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the prestigious iPhone X. The company unveiled its latest generation of Smartwatch with a specialty which hasn’t seen in the previous versions. As the latest powered with cellular connectivity which can be enabled with the 4G LTE and 3G, which means users can use the watch without pairing it with their phone.
Well, today the company has launched the Watch Series 3 (GPS + cellular) variant in the Indian markets. And it will be sold in the country by two well-known telecom operators and they are Airtel and Reliance Jio. Both the telecom operators will sell the Watch Series 3 through their official websites and Jio is also selling through the Reliance Digital and Jio Stores as well.
Offer by the telecom operators
Airtel has announced that cellular services on Watch Series 3 will be available for free of cost for the customers on MyPlan Postpaid or Infinity Postpaid Plans. On the other hand, the newbie of Reliance industry – Jio has announced that its ‘JioEverywhereConnect’ service will be available for free for both the prepaid and postpaid customers. Having said that, with the ‘JioEverywhereConnect’ users of Jio can use the same number on their iPhone and Watch Series 3.
Specification Of Watch Series 3
It is powered by a dual-core processor which makes the device 70% faster than its predecessor, and the new generation device is coming with the updated WatchOS 4. As I mentioned above, the Apple Watch Series 3 is coming with cellular connectivity, it is enabled with 4G LTE and 3G. With cellular connectivity via an eSIM sharing the same phone number with your iPhone, with this you will able to answer and make phone calls via the smartwatch, and it also allows you to chat with your near and dear ones through messaging apps even without iPhone in your pocket. The device has a W2 wireless chip which brings in 85% better Wi-Fi performance and 50% better Bluetooth performance.
Moreover, the smartwatch also supports the digital assistant Siri. And the device gives access to 40 Million songs on your wrist via the Apple Music which can be streamed at any time when you want. And as I mentioned above, the Watch 3 is running on the latest version of watchOS and comes with new watch faces, fitness tracking. It also features “swimproof” and loaded with other features like GPS, Heart Rate Monitor and Barometric Altimeter. Speaking about the battery, the company says the Watch will serve up to 18 hours.
Pricing
Speaking about the pricing, the 38 mm Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular variant with he Aluminium case and Sport Band is priced at ₹39,080. The 42 mm Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular variant with Aluminium case and Sport Band has the price tag of ₹41,120. The 38 mm Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular with Aluminium case and Nike Sport Band is coming with the price tag of ₹39,130, and the 42 mm Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular variant with Aluminium case and Nike Sport Band is priced at ₹41,180.
