ARM, the company behind the CPU’s in the modern smartphones and its also behind the core CPU designs which includes the Snapdragon 845. Well, the company has unveiled A76 CPU design at an event which held in San Francisco. The new A76 CPU will power the future smartphone and it will make the devices faster.
The company’s brand new ARM A76 is the successor of the A75, and the company claims that the new one will be 35% faster overall and The biggest improvements are for machine learning applications, with up to a 400% boost. It is also 40% more efficient, which means the new A76 will make the devices faster than the current high-end devices.
Moreover, the new CPU will also give 2x power improvements in the laptops as well. Right now these all are just numbers as these are the CPU core which is one of the pieces of a modern chipset of a smartphone and we can only understand these things better when the vendors extract it.
Speaking about the availability of the CPU, it is likely to be power the devices in early 2019 which means we are still far away to see it in the reality. Personally speaking, this is really great to know that the company is working hard to make the smartphones to work like a laptop and give more efficiency. Let’s hope that vendors like Qualcomm extract the new A76 CPU just like the ARM claiming and give the best to the smartphone users.
