Asus introduced the highly anticipated gaming smartphone series called the Asus ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro during the CES 2024 event and now it seems that the company will be launching the new offering in the market of India very soon as today the pricing information of the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is officially confirmed for the market of India.
The smartphone brand has confirmed that the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro will be available in the country with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for a price tag of Rs 94,999 while the 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage variant costs Rs 1,19,999. The device will be available in India in Phantom Black color option only and it is also confirmed that the company will be offering the AeroActive Cooler X accessory for Rs 5,999 in India.
Asus is yet to confirm the launch date of the device but it is confirmed that the phone will be available through Vijay Sales, Asus Exclusive stores, Asus ROG stores, and the Asus e-shop.

The latest Asus ROG Phone 8 series features a flat display with a punch-hole setup at the centre position of the screen and slimmer bezels. The back panel of the device has a customizable Aura RGB lighting logo, and the Pro variant features customizable AniMe Vision mini-LED lighting along with 341 LEDs. Both devices feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The latest Asus ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro feature a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED LTPO display along with a Full HD+ resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,500 nits of peak brightness, and you can also use the display using a glove on your hand as well. The display is integrated with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the latest Asus ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor. The vanilla variant comes with up to 12 GB / 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, whereas the Pro variant has 16 GB / 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Both devices house a large 5,500mAh battery along with 65W fast charging technology, Quick Charge 5.0, and PD charging. Both devices also feature 15W Qi wireless charging. The devices run on Android 14 with ROG UI out of the box.
Both devices feature a conduction cooling system and they come with the new AeroActive Cooler X accessory. The devices also feature the “AI Grabber” feature, which is designed to streamline the process of searching for gaming walkthroughs by recognizing and copying in-game text. The devices also feature the power of Artificial Intelligence and are capable of generating personalized wallpapers using stable diffusion.
The latest Asus ROG Phone 8 series features a 3.5mm audio jack and a 5-magnet speaker system as well. Moreover, the devices come with features including Air Trigger buttons for gaming. Regarding the connectivity options, the devices feature Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest Asus ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro feature a 32-megapixel RGBW front facing camera while the back panel of the devices feature a Sony IMX890 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree FOV, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS support.
