The device comes with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands using the WiFi 7 802.11be standard that offers 1,376 Mbps and 5,764 Mbps respectively. It also supports Multi-Link Operation and 4096-QAM that enables combined wireless throughput of 7.2 Gbps. The device supports Beamforming, OFDMA, and MU-MIMO for improved efficiency.
It comes with six internal antennas with enhanced 5 GHz long-range tuning that offers up to 15 percent better throughput at extended distances. The device comes with five 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports that delivers 12.5 Gbps total wired capacity: one WAN port for modem connection and four LAN ports for connected devices. The device also features two LAN ports and it will be working as dedicated gaming ports with traffic prioritization.
Asus offers the device with guest networks and isolated IoT subnetworks. Smart Home Master streamlines IoT device setup and VPN subnetwork creation. Security includes AiProtection’s triple-layer protection, parental controls, and pre-installed VPN support. The device supports ROG’s proprietary Gaming Network with integrated game acceleration. WiFi 7-enhanced AiMesh compatibility allows mesh network expansion. It also comes with ROG’s signature gaming aesthetic with bold markings and integrated RGB lighting.
