The latest Asus Strix Scar 18 is the first 18-inch laptop from ROG along with mini LED ROG Nebula HDR Display and the same features over 2000 discrete dimming zones, 1100 nits of peak brightness as well as a 2.5K resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate.
All the models of the new offerings are powered by the latest Intel Core i9 processor 14900HX processor. The latest Strix Scar 16 and Scar 18 come with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with a 175 W max TGP, while the Strix G16 and G18 models are equipped with up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU. They also support AI tools like DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation.
The devices feature Tri-Fan technology and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal applied to both the CPU and GPU. The devices feature up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory and up to 4 TB PCIe Gen4 x4 storage. They run on the Windows 11 operating system out of the box.
Asus offers the devices with Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack, along with WiFi 6E and Bluetooth v5.3 support. The devices come with a 90 Wh battery on the board. The latest ASUS ROG Strix Scar G16 and G18 models feature similar hardware to the Scar 16 and 18. The devices come with 2560×1600 pixels resolution along with a 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms gray-to-gray response time, and cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The devices come with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, as well as a backlit chiclet keyboard and per-key RGB lighting with Aura Sync.
The pricing of the latest laptops start at $2,899.99 and the company will be offering the devices later this year.
