Asus has unveiled the new ZenBook S which offers a new taller aspect ratio of 3:2. Being a leader in the laptop market the offerings from Asus are always welcomed by the tech community. Let us see what the new laptop has in stores for potential buyers.

Starting with the display, it features a 14-inch touch display with a 3,300 x 2,200-pixel resolution along with a taller aspect ratio of 3:2. The display covers 100% of DCI-P3 colour gamut, along with 133 coverage of the sRGB colours. It comes with thin bezels on three sides except at the top where the camera is housed.

The Asus ZenBook S is powered by up to 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processors coupled with Intel Iris Plus graphics. It comes with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 SSD storage. The laptop comes with the Asus NumberPad 2.0 tech that occupies a dedicated number pad on top of the touchpad, which can be enabled/disabled by pressing a dedicated button.

It runs Windows 10 out of the box and weighs just 1.35 KG. In terms of connectivity, it comes with WiFi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, two USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, an HDMI port, and a microSD card reader. All this is run by a hefty 67 Wh battery that can last up to 14 hours, according to the company. Asus has also included fast charging support that can charge it up to 60% in just 49 minutes.

Pricing and Availability

Asus ZenBook S (UX393) will be exclusively available at Costco via Microsoft Store in the US. The price has been set at $1,700 (approx 1.24 lakhs). It will be available In Jade Black and Red Copper colours.
