Asus Zenfone 8 was introduced in the global market a couple of months ago, and it was delayed to launch in India due to the outbreak of the coronavirus but now the company has confirmed to launch the device very soon in the country.
Dinesh Sharma, Business Head, Commercial PC and Smartphone, Asus India has shared a tweet on his official Twitter handle and confirms that the Asus Zenfone 8 will be official in the country soon but he did not reveal the exact launch date of the smartphone. Specifications of Asus Zenfone 8
It features a 5.9-inch E4 AMOLED Full HD+ display made by Samsung, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. The display is having a 20:9 aspect ratio and is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus. Other features include HDR10+ certification, 1,100 nits of peak brightness and it covers 112% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.
The smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 paired with 6GB/8GB or 16GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it will have either 128GB or 256GB options. It features an under-display fingerprint scanner. It is the company’s first smartphone to feature IP68 dust and water resistance.
Coming to the camera department, the Asus Zenfone 8 features a dual-camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor spotted on its predecessor. This sensor boasts of 0.8µm pixels, OIS and an f/1.8 aperture lens. It is followed by a 12MP IMX363 macro sensor that supports Dual Pixel Auto Focus enabling it to focus close up to 4cm. The selfie camera on the front is a 12MP IMX663 sensor with Dual Pixel AF. It features OZO Audio Zoom and Noise reduction tech.
Regarding the connectivity options, it offers USB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, and Wi-Fi 6E. It comes with upgraded audio hardware that includes a 3.5mm audio jack that supports dual linear speakers with dual Cirrus Logic mono amps (CS35L45) and Dirac HD Sound support. the software runs Android 11 with ZenUI 8 on top.
