Well, today the company has officially announced both the devices at an event in Brazil. The newbies of the Taiwanese brand is the world’s first devices to have Qualcomm Snapdragon System in Package (SiP) at the heart. Well, if you are unaware about the Qualcomm System in Package setup, then it’s a normal Snapdragon processor but it is integrated with various components and it reduces the size of the chipset. Having said that, it includes the application processor, power management, RF front end, and audio codec, into a single semiconductor system in package. Basically, the SiP chips are designed to help the smartphone brand to simplify manufacturing processes and quickly bring out new devices.

The smartphone sports a 6.26 Full HD+ display with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution along with 19:9 aspect ratio and has a wide notch on the top of the display. As I mentioned above, the smartphone is powered by 1.8 GHz Qualcomm SiP octa core processor and paired with 3 GB RAM. In terms of storage, the smartphone has 32 GB of internal storage and that can be expandable via MicroSD card.

Coming to camera section, the Asus Zenfone Max Plus M2 rocks a dual camera setup at back and that’s in the combination of 12-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor, along with an 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone also has the fingerprint scanner for the security.

Both the devices are now on sale in Brazil and there’s no information about the availability in other parts of the globe.
