The online streaming platforms very popular in recent times and we already plenty of players in the market and in last year we got a brand new player in this segment and that is dubbed as Disney Plus. It came with a big blow to other competitors, now we got a new piece of information which suggests that the company is gearing up to launch its services in India as soon as next month.
Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that the streaming service Disney Plus will make its way to India through Hotstar and the company will launch the service on March 29. Well, the timeline is the very same day when the carnival of the cricket season starts in India – IPL.
Having said that, the Disney Plus was expected to debut in India by the second half of this year but the new decision is maybe to utilize the cricketing season across the country and we expect that the service will offer some unique features and affordable pricing.
