Standards of Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is based on IEEE 802.11 standard and it has sub standard which are as follows,
802.11b: it’s very slower about 11 MB/s.
802.11c: this will not use for Wi-Fi.
802.11g: this is the most used standard, which comes with a good speed of 54 mbps.
802.11n: it can transfer data very fast, speed about 150 mbps.
802.11ac: it is the latest standard.
What does Wi-Fi Stands
There are lots of theories in it, but the most commonly accepted one is ‘Wireless Fidelity’.
What is Hotspot?
It means you can access if Wi-Fi connection is available. In order to access it, your computer or phone support Wi-Fi or in other words should have wireless adapter in it.
How to Connect
To start a connection, you must need a router. Now turn on your modem before that plug the to your computer via an Ethernet cable. Now switch on your modem and head to your browser. Enter your IP address and get into the modem setting page. And set your network with router name and password. Set SSID as active and enter username and password provided by your ISP. Now the last step, select WEP or WPA.
