In our country, cyber-crimes are reported in big number. Large number of issues happens by manipulating photos, to curb this crime. Facebook the social networking giant introduces new tool, which will prevent your profile photo from downloading it.
The new tool is called Profile Photo Guard, as the name suggests it will help you to prevent your profile photo by downloading by others. In this way, you can make sure that your photo is safe from the access of unwanted people. Once you enable the new Profile Photo Guard then no one will able to download share your photo. Moreover, those who are not your friend on the social network website will not be able to tag themselves or anyone else in your profile photo.
Not only this, with this feature Facebook will prevent people by taking screenshot of your profile photo and right now this feature is only available on Android devices. To enable the new feature head to your profile and tap on your profile photo, now you will see multiple options and from that options tap ‘Turn on Profile Picture Guard’ and that’s it the features is enabled. As soon as the option enabled a blue colour border will appear around your profile photo along with a shield icon.
I think this is a great move by the social networking giant because as I mentioned at the beginning of the article, in our country there are many crimes reporting regarding photo manipulation. So this tool may prevent the number of crime at some point. And in my personal opinion, these kind of tools should be there for all the social networking websites because privacy is the most important factor of every human.
