In 2021 there was a report about the coming of Facebook (Meta). The launching of the smartwatch was expected in Summer of 2022. There was no more report related to smartwatches other than images shared by Bloomberg. LetsGoDigital has released the specifications of the upcoming Facebook Meta smartwatch revealing its models and key specifications.
Specifications of the Facebook Smartwatch
According to the report, the Facebook Meta Smartwatch will be available in two models. One in a circular and other in squarish models. It comes with a detachable display. The circular watch supports two or a max of three cameras. The camera features a telephoto lens, an optical zoom or an ultra-wide sensor, and a macro lens.
It is worth mentioning that the smartwatch will have a rotatable display. Rotating screen enable users select any one camera out of the three/two.
We can take photos and post them directly to Instagram and Facebook. The cameras are also useful for capturing videos. Report says that the watches can work with VR and AR systems. Moreover, we can use it as an input device for an upcoming AR headset.
Facebook is planning to unveil an AR headset and AR glasses soon. The detachable display smartwatch is a part of Meta’s ecosystem of devices. Facebook is planning to introduce it this year. The details of the other Meta Smartwatch are not revealed. Moreover, AR glasses are named ‘Project Nazare’, and the AR headset is named ‘Project Cambria’.
