The social networking giant has announced lots of new innovative ideas for its Messenger app, the company announced everything at the F8 developer conference. All these new features will make their way to the Messenger app very soon, let’s see all the new announced features.
The Facebook Messenger is receiving a new Discover tab, with this tab you will help you to find the businesses which you are looking for and it is easier than earlier. You will get Discover tab feature on the home screen of the Facebook Messenger, and the feature is already started to roll out in US, one of our reader also reported to us about the feature.
Another new feature is Messenger Codes, which are new parametric QR codes and it will be exclusive to the Messenger. By scanning this codes you will get the information about concerts, basketball games and more via a bot in the Messenger. All you need to scan the code through your camera in Messenger, that’s it you will get all the information about the particular topic.

Moving to next feature, it might be the most important one and it is called Chat Extensions. With the Chat Extensions you will be able to share a song which you are listening, it allows you to chat with businesses and much more. Right now the Chat Extensions available including Spotify, Apple Music, TheScore, OpenTable, Food Network, The Wall Street Journal, NBA and Kayak.
Next up, the M Messenger’s AI assistant also getting improvements. The M will now allow users to order food via delivery.com. For example: if you are planning for a dinner and discussing about it while chatting, the M assistant will start suggesting to place an order. Moreover, Facebook says that all the procedure within the Messenger app.
Currently, the feature is available only in the US, where the service is offered. If you lives in US, then head to the Play Store and update the Messenger app (if it is available).
