The newly announced Fitbit Charge 6 looks similar to the previous generation and the new device features a small haptic button on the left edge. The button will be offering a vibration when you press on the same. The button will also enable you to go back to the clock face or wake the screen.
It is said that the device is made from 100% recycled aluminum and the device features a Gorilla Glass screen protection. It is also water resistant to 50 meters.
The latest Fitbit Charge 6 comes with upgraded heart rate monitoring and it uses the same technology as the Google Pixel Watch. The device also features real-time heart rate streaming to gym equipment from brands like NordicTrack, Peloton, Concept2, and Tonal. It comes with 20 new exercise modes and that brings the total to 40. The newly added modes include strength training, skiing, and kayaking as well.
It also features an EDA (electrodermal activity) scan app and the same can detect changes in your skin’s sweat level, which can measure your body’s stress level.
Apart from that, the Fitbit Charge 6 features step tracking, sleep tracking, and automatic workout recognition. The device comes with a number of Google services including YouTube Music (Premium subscription required), Google Maps, and Google Wallet. The device comes with up to seven days of battery life on a single charge.
The device has a price tag of $159.95 and the device will be available from October 12 in 30 countries across the globe.
