Fitbit has unveild three new smartwatches today. The lineup includes Fitbit Sense alongside Fitbit Versa 3 and Inspire 2. Among them, the Fitbit Sense, is the star of the show. Its the most advanced smartwatch from the company yet. Let us check out each of the smartwatches in detail.
Fitbit Sense
The Fitbit Sense comes with a new new Electrodermal Activity sensor (EDA), which is a sensor to help you understand your stress level and keep it under control. This makes it the world’s first smartwatch to beat such a function. The Sense achieves this function, by measuring sweat level on your skin if you put your palm over the face of the watch. This enables the sensor to measure your stress level and display he results on the EDA Scan app.
Alongside EDA, it can also measure your ECG. Using which it can track your heart rate and its variations as well as detect signs of Atrial Fibrillation. Along with this, it can also measure your skin temperature to indicate any temperature spikes and fever or even the start of a new menstrual phase. The other array of sensors can also calculate your breathing rate and measure spO2 (blood-oxygen saturation), with a dedicated watch face to show you readings from last night.
“Over 100,000 Fitbit users joined the study so far, and we’ve found that our algorithm can detect nearly 50 percent of COVID-19 cases a day before the onset of symptoms with 70 percent specificity,” remarks Eric Friedman, co-founder and CTO of Fitbit, speaking about a study among Fitbit Premium subscribers.
Fitbit Sense also supports all other functions like a normal smartwatch. It features GPS receiver, more than 20 on-device exercise modes, built-in speaker and microphone that let you communicate with your friends or even interact with digital assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant.
Moving to the display, it uses an AMOLED one with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and supports Always On Mode. According to the company it can last 6 days or more. It also comes with fast charging that lets you fill in enough juice for day in just 12 minutes. The fast charging will also charge the smartwatch from 10% to 80% in under 40 minutes,). The smartwatch is also water resistant up to 50 meters.
The Fitbit Sense is already available for pre-order and is priced at $300. The shipping will commence from 25th September.
Versa 3
The second smartwatch of the lot is Versa 3, which comes with most features of Sense but lacks on EDA. It features the same the built-in speaker and microphone to let you make calls and seek help from the digital assistants. If you are wondering about the fitness features, it carries a built-in GPS and a heart rate sensor, which means it is capable of keeping track of basic excersises. In addition it is water resistant up to 50 metres under water as well.
It will also let you listen to songs from Spotify, Pandora or Deezer and make payments via Fitbit Pay. With all these, the Versa 3 will give you 6 day worth of battery life coupled with the same fast charging technology. Fitbit Versa 3 can can be yours for just $230.
Inspire 2

This one is a smartband eith 10 days of battery life. But like its brothers, it can also track your heart rate and offer over 20 goal-based exercise modes, guided breathing and female health tracking. Besides, it can also show you notifications and lets you reply without reaching your phone on your wrist. Fitbit Inspire 2 is priced at $100.
