Garmin has introduced the Fenix 6 smartwatch with the new Garmin Fenix 7 in the US. The company has unveiled three models – Fenix 7, Fenix 7S, and Fenix 7X. The models support solar charging, GPS L5, and an LED flashlight. The company has also debuted the Epix Gen 2 smartwatch in the country.
Regarding the Fenix 7 trio’s features, the series supports solar charging. The company says it has 54% more solar surface area than the predecessor Fenix 6X Pro. The latest smartwatch also supports improved battery life. Garmin Fenix 7 is the smallest. They are available in 3 sizes 42mm, 47mm, and 51mm.
Fenix 7 series supports the L5 GPS frequency range. So it gives better accuracy in GPS signals. L5 with new GPS signals for civilians features advanced signal design, greater bandwidth, and more power.
Fenix 7 supports a battery of 136 hours to 286 hours and the Fenix 7S can give a max battery of 90 hours or 162 hours. Meanwhile, the 7X offers 213 hours or 578 hours with the solar. Garmin offers up to 37 days of battery on the premium Fenix 7X.
The premium Fenix 7X features the hands-free LED flashlight feature. It is backed by the strobe mode for emergencies.
Pricing
The Garmin Fenix 7 costs $699.99. Fenix 7S comes with a price tag of $899.99. Moreover, the premium Fenix 7X is priced at $999.99. Besides, the Garmin Epix costs $899 for the glass watch face and steel frame. The sapphire watch face and titanium frame are available at $999.
