Google announced a lot of stuff at the on-going Google I/O 2017. Well this year, the mountain view company has surprising announced a new OS, named as Android Go. Well it’s not a complete different OS than Android but there are some changes here & there. So what’s inside this Android Go? Let’s find out.
This Android Go relates to Google’s YouTube Go which has the aim of less data consumption and more lightweight. Android Go is very similar to that program. This Android Go OS is compatible with devices that has 1GB of less RAM. This means that it will not take much RAM & will make those low-end phones smoother. This OS will save you mobile data as well. There will be a data management API which keeps tracking how much data is used & how much is left. Also there will be an option to do data recharge directly from the phone settings, so no need to go to those recharge shops. Google as said that if third party developers wants to get their apps into Android Go, then they should take care on some guidelines like the app should consume less data & will work smoothly with low-end specs.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Google also said that their 1st phone with Android Go will launch in 2018. That means there’s a lot of time for this OS to establish in smartphone industry. Stay tuned with us for more information.
