The smart speakers are now become an important part of a digital life, as it helps the users to make their online enquiries, plays songs, as well as, it saves the reminders with a simple voice command and it works as a virtual assistant. In India, the customers getting their interest on the smart speakers and till now Amazon Echo’s range was there to help the Indian users. Well, now Google is all set to launch its smart speakers in the Indian markets.
The Google Home was unveiled in 2016 at the Made by Google event, and the device is powered by Google Assistant, on the other hand, Google Home Mini was unveiled by the search engine giant at the Made by Google event in last year and it is also powered by Google Assistant and it is to take on the Amazon Echo Dot.
Google started to send out invites for the launching event of the speakers on April 10, however, there is no information about the pricing details. But we can assume that Google Home will be available in India for ₹8,400 (approx.) as it cost ₹129 in the United States, on the other hand, the Google Home Mini may cost ₹3,200 (approx.) as the device is available for ₹49 in other markets.
Speaking about the availability of the devices, it will be available on Flipkart and the e-commerce website already started to show-off banners and a dedicated page is already live on the website. There is no information about the availability of the speakers in the offline stores, but I guess Google will make available the speakers in the offline stores, as the company wants to strengthen its offline presence in the country.
