Google has come a long way in software development from other smartphone OEMs in the past couple of years. Be it virtual reality, augmented reality, and most importantly Artificial Intelligence. This Mountain View company unveils all of their latest software magic at their I/O event in Q2 every year, mostly in May. So for 2019 as well, they gave us the date and venue.
Sundar Pichai (CEO of Google) has revealed that Google I/O 2019 event is scheduled from May 7th to May 9th i.e. total three days. This event will take place at Shoreline Amphitheatre in California, which is the same from past three years. Apart from this nothing is announced. We have some assumptions on what Google will showcase at Google I/O event, and they are listed below:
1. Android Q Developer Preview:
Surely this will be the most anticipated announcement of I/O 2019, the very first look at the upcoming version of Android. Surely we got an earlier leak of Android Q beta version, but getting to know it from the official is always best. We will get an in-depth and clear look at the event.
2. Pixel 3 Lite & Pixel 3 XL Lite:
On the hardware side, we might see the lite version of 2018 flagship Pixel 3. From past few months, we are seeing a lot of leaks and rumours on the same. We might see an XL variant as well, but as of now, we have more leaks of Pixel 3 Lite only. So only time will tell what Google will reveal at I/O, or maybe they will reveal it or not. Only time will tell this.
3. Google Coral:
Recently we got a leaked spotting of unknown ‘Google Coral’ device, which we are expecting to be showcased at I/O event. According to that leak, this Coral device will have latest Snapdragon 855 processor and Android Q on board. It the very first device spotted with Android Q, that’s why we are expecting this to get unveiled at I/O event. Also, we don’t know whether it will be any smartphone or tablet?
4. Other Software Upgrades & Newbies:
As this I/O event is more of a developer-oriented event, Google will announce many changes in their previous Apps like Google Photos, Lens, Maps, and Assistant. Also, Google might unveil any new app as well. Lastly, they will also announce something on Virtual and Augmented Reality.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. What are your expectations from Google I/O 2019? Let us know in the comment section below. Also stay tuned with us for more information.
