Back in last week, Huawei unveiled the world’s first smartphone with 48 megapixel camera i.e. Nova 4, and today, Honor- the sub-brand of Huawei, has launched a new device called Honor View 20 in the Chinese market and the device also comes with the same camera setup of Nova 4, which means the new Honor smartphone is also coming with the 48 megapixel rear camera setup.
Design of Honor View 20
The all new Honor View 20 looks similar to the Huawei Nova 4 from the front, and that’s because the View 20 also features a display having a hole in the top-left corner. This hole has a diameter of 4.5 mm and that accommodates the selfie camera, and the smartphone has a bezel-less look with a screen-to-body ratio of 91.82%.

It comes with 6.4 inch Full HD+ display with 2310 X 1080 pixels resolution, the device is powered by Octa Core Kirin 980 processor and paired with 6/8 GB of RAM along with Mali-G76 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device has two storage variants – 6 GB RAM with 128 GB of internal storage, and 8 GB RAM with 256 GB of internal storage.
Moving to the photography department, the smartphone rocks dual camera setup and that’s in the combination of Rear Camera: 48 MP (Sony IMX586, f/1.8 aperture) + 3D TOF camera with Portrait Mode, HDR, 960 FPS Slow-Motion video recording, AI Vision, and LED flash. That’s not all, the device is coming with in-display camera on the front side and that’s 25 megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. For this, the device has a hole in the top left corner which accommodate the front camera and in this way, the company has managed to unveil a device with the in-display front facing camera. The smartphone also supports Fingerprint Scanner, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, AR Stickers, 3D Qmoji, GPU Turbo 2.0, and Link Turbo.
Regarding the connectivity options, the device supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, USB Type C, USB OTG, and AI GPS. The device runs on MagicUI 2.0.1 which is based on Android 9.0, and the whole device is backed on 4,000 mAh battery with 22.5W (4.5V/5A) fast charging to keep the lights on.
Pricing and availability of Honor View 20
The pricing of the device starts at ¥2999 (approx. ₹35,268), and the smartphone will be available in China from December 28, and the device will be available from January 22 for the global market.
