Apple unveiled iPhone 11 today, but it’s not the premium most iPhone of today’s event. Apple has also unveiled iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max with better internals. Major changes are triple camera setup and display. So without wasting more time, let’s dig into the specs of both iPhone 11 Pros.
Design:
Design of both these iPhones looks very similar to iPhone 11. The 11 Pro is smaller in size whereas 11 Pro Max is bigger. Both have triple camera setup at the back in a square design. Rest everything is same.
Specifications:
The iPhone 11 Pro sports 5.8 inch display, whereas iPhone 11 Pro Max sports 6.3 inch display. Both are Super Retina XDR OLED displays with Full HD+ resolution (2436×1125 for 11 Pro and 2688×1242 for 11 Pro Max) and both has 548 pixel density (ppi). It’s an HDR10 supported display with Dolby Vision and up to whopping 1200 nits of brightness. Both are protected with high quality glass. Both comes with A13 Bionic chipset as well as GPU. Both has 6GB of RAM with 64GB, 256GB, 512GB storage options. It’s strange that the base variant is 64GB and not 128GB.
Speaking about the camera, it has triple camera setup, first for any iPhone. The wide angle camera is also first for the company. Primary rear camera is a 12MP sensor with f1.8 lens, OIS, 1.4μ pixel size, PDAF, enhanced Smart HDR for best in class dynamic range, and Night Mode for ultra low light situations. Secondary wide angle 12MP sensor has f2.4 lens and 120° field of view, and Apple called it as 2x zoom out. And the third one is 12MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, f2.0 lens, 1.0μm pixel size, OIS, and PDAF The front camera finally got an upgrade of 12MP sensor.
These iPhones got some good upgrades in terms of video recording, just like iPhone 11. Now it has cinematic stabilization for extremely stable footages. It has Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) on both cameras, giving good dynamic range just like Smart HDR in photos. And this will be applied on videos up to 4k at 50fps, whereas regular videos can be shot up to 4k at 60fps. The front camera can also record videos up to 4K at 60fps, and at 30fps for EDR. Also this is the first time we have seen slow-mo (officially slofies) video recording on front camera, mostly at 240fps.
Both runs on the latest iOS 13 out of the box. Both runs on a 3190mAh and 3500mAh battery respectively(figure not official) with fast charging support. This time the in-box charger has 18W fast charging. It will have Qi wireless as well as reverse wireless charging. The 3D Face Unlocking is present here as well. It has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support as well. For connectivity, it has 4G, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and Lightning port. It has Black, White, Green, Yellow, Purple, and Product Red colour options.
