Over the past few weeks, we are seeing various leaks and rumours of the OnePlus 8 series. Keeping the fact that OnePlus 7T series was launched last month and next should be supposed to launch in Q2 2020, these leaks are supposed to arrive next year. As of now we know that this upcoming will also be identical to all 2019 OnePlus smartphones in terms of design, the internals will change. Regarding design, the biggest change might be the punch-hole front camera on both OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. And today’s leak once again accepts this thing.
A Line Drawing of the upcoming OnePlus 8 series is leaked online, which suggests the design of both smartphones from next year. Jumping directly to the front, there are two different drawings. The difference between both is the front camera. While one has single punch hole camera on top left, another one has dual punch hole cameras at the same location. The corners of both are slightly more narrower than the current flagships. There’s an earpiece at top which looks bigger this time. The button placements are also exactly same as current OnePlus 7 Series, volume rocker on the left and power button along with alert slider at the right.
Moving to the back, it seems like both OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will have same back design. And this includes the Triple camera setup along with ToF 3D sensor and laser autofocus. The LED light is below the cameras and OnePlus logo is below the LED. So the back also looks more or less similar to the current smartphones, just a ToF sensor is new and we don’t have much idea about the colour. According to a previous leak there will be more pale and light blue colour on the upcoming devices, and another leak suggests reflective grey colour. Which one is true, we don’t know yet.
My Thoughts :
So that’s all the information we have as of now. As these leaks are coming in this speed, now I am doubting that OnePlus might launch the upcoming 8 Series in Q1 2020 itself, mostly at MWC 2020 event in February. And if it’s true, than the breaks of OnePlus launch vehicle is seriously damaged, and they need to repair it as soon as possible. Otherwise there were some very good companies who saw a tragic end in the industry. Well I hope this won’t happen because OnePlus has potential to compete biggies like Apple and Samsung in coming years.
What are your thoughts on this design? And do you think that OnePlus should slow down the speed of launching smartphones? Let us know in the comment section below. Also stay tuned with us for more information.
