The popular mobile chipset maker MediaTek is gearing up to launch the next generation flagship processor called the Dimensity 9500, and it is expected to be announced on September 22. It is reported that the upcoming Dimensity 9500 will be built on TSMC’s advanced N3P process along with an all-large-core layout. The processor includes one Cortex-X930 core running at 4.21GHz, three Cortex-X930 cores at 3.5GHz, and four Cortex-A730 cores at 2.7GHz.
The upcoming mobile processor is integrated with a Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU for the graphical task and the same is reported to run at around 1MHz. It is also reported that the GPU has a new microarchitecture that improves ray tracing performance while reducing power consumption.
It is also said that the upcoming Dimensity 9500 mobile processor will feature a 16MB L3 cache, 10MB system-level cache, and support for the SME instruction set. It will also feature the next-gen NPU 9.0 and the same is said to hit 100 TOPS (trillion operations per second).
The upcoming mobile processor is reported to support LPDDR5X RAM at 10667Mbps and the same will be supporting UFS 4.1 storage over a 4-lane setup. The source has also suggested that the imaging stack may include a version of Vivo’s V3+ ISP, and this might be exclusive for the Vivo devices.
