Mi A3 Spotted On FCC, Revealing Some Camera Information

Xiaomi has a very interesting series which fulfill the needs of those who love Xiaomi’s hardware and price but don’t like MIUI, Mi A series. This series has hardware/price of regular Xiaomi smartphones, but runs on Android One program that translates to stock Android with regular updates. This series started with Mi A1 which went very successful, followed by Mi A2 launched last year which got mixed reviews. Now seems like Xiaomi is preparing for third installment of this series.

The Mi A3 is spotted on FCC, giving us an Idea about the design and few specs of the device. First let’s talk about the camera, as you can see from the image below, there is a big cut-out for camera setup at the back of Mi A3. Which means that this device will have triple camera setup. And it has the branding of 48MP AI camera, which we have seen on devices like Redmi Note 7 Pro and Mi CC9 series. And looking at the placement of 48MP camera by many OEMs, we can expect this Mi A3 to have 48MP Sony IMX358 sensor.

Furthermore, there’s no cut-out for rear fingerprint sensor at the back. Xiaomi hasn’t gone with side mounted fingerprint sensor and from 2018 it’s rare to see a physical front mounted fingerprint sensor due to less bezel design. So most probably this Mi A3 will have optical in-display fingerprint sensor. It will be an interesting to see a Xiaomi smartphone with in-display fingerprint sensor at this price point. There are speculations that this Mi A3 will be very similar to Mi CC9E in terms of internal specs, but am expecting Mi A3 to be similar to Mi CC9 i.e. with Snapdragon 710e processor.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. What are your thoughts and expectations from Mi A3 ? Let us know in the comment section below. Also stay tuned with us for more information.
