Back in last week, the Global VP of Xiaomi and MD of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain confirmed the arrival of Mi Band 3 in the Indian market. As promised, today the company has launched the device in India at an event in Bangalore. Having said that, the device launched first in China back in May this year, and it is a successor of Mi band 2 which was unveiled in 2016.
The Mi Band 3 sports a bigger 0.78 inch OLED display with 128×80 resolution, which is a good resolution for a fitness band. This time Xiaomi decided to remove the navigation button and make this a touch screen fitness band. This is a waterproof band for up to 50 meters in water with IP67 Certified. It is backed on 110 mAh battery and Xiaomi claims 20 days of battery life with this.
The band also supports Heart rate sensor, Improved tracking algorithm, Sleep Tracking, Step Counter with improved pedometer algorithm, Bluetooth 4.2, and the Power-efficient accelerometer. Speaking about the compatibility, it will support with Android 4.4 or above and IOS 9.0 or above.
Talking about the pricing and availability, the Mi band 3 is priced at ₹1,999 and it will be available from September 28, i.e. tomorrow, via Amazon India and Mi.com.
