Already half a dozen of brands withdrawn their presence from the upcoming MWC 2020 event due to the outbreak of the deadly disease Coronavirus. Well, now the number of withdrawal increases as a couple of popular brands has announced that they are not attending the event.
The popular Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has announced that it will not attend the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 event where the company expected to showcase its concept smartphone called Vivo Apex 2020. The reason behind the cancelling of its presence from the prestigious event is due to the Coronavirus.
Moreover, the very popular brand in the computing world – Intel has also confirmed that it’s not attending the event in Barcelona and the reason behind the decision is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of its employees as well as partners.
Finally, the Japanese telecommunications operator and one of the biggest in Asia, NTT DoCoMo also confirmed that it wouldn’t go to attend the event for reasons of “security” stemming from the virus.
Having said that, there is no changes in the plan of the upcoming event even after losing big names from the event, the committee of the show is going as per the plan.
