The Lenovo owned unveiled its new smartphone called Moto Z3 at the much awaited event at its HQ in Chicago and makes the end of the leaks and rumours. Having said that, it was also expected that the company will launch Motorola One Power and Motorola One during this event. However, that did not happen. Well, the Moto Z3 also unveiled with the new 5G Mod. So, let’s dive into the article to know more about the newly launched smartphone and Mod.
Design of Moto Z3
The smartphone sports smaller bezels along with a glass back and the frames made out of 6000 series polished aluminium, and the device looks identical with the recently launched Moto Z3 Play. Having said that, the device has Water repellent p2i coating.
Specification of Moto Z3
The device comes with a 6.01-inch Full-HD+ Max Vision Super AMOLED display and 2.5D curved glass atop with the protection of Gorilla Glass 3. The display also has an 18:9 aspect ratio and it also supports the signature Moto Display feature. It is powered by 2.35 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, well, it would be great if the device powered with this year’s flagship chipset i.e. Snapdragon 845. That said, the smartphone is coupled with the 4 GB of RAM, along with Adreno 540 for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device has 64 GB of internal storage and it can be expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card.
Moving to the photography department, the device has dual camera setup at the back and it is in the combination of 12 megapixel (RGB, f/2.0) + 12 megapixel (Monochrome) with PDAF, Portrait Mode, Object Recognition, Manual Mode and dual-LED flash, along with an 8 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree wide-angle lens, Portrait Mode, Manual Mode and screen flash. Moreover, the device also coming with its traditional features such as Moto Display, and Moto Actions along with the various gestures. That said, that the device has the fingerprint scanner and it is located at the right side below the volume rocker. Furthermore, the device also supports the Face Unlock. and Google Lens
Regarding the connectivity, 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and USB Type-C. Talking about the software, the device runs on the latest Android Oreo 8.1 and the company promises to give two future upgrades to the latest versions of Android. Finally, the smartphone is backed on 3,000 mAh with 15W Turbo Charging.
Pricing and availability of Moto Z3
The device has the price tag $480 (approx. ₹33,015), and it can be yours on contract by paying $20/month for 24 months. The smartphone will be available exclusively via Verizon in the US from August 16. There is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
5G Moto Mod
Along with the Moto Z3, the smartphone brand has unveiled the 5G Moto Mod and it will make Moto Z3 as the 5G enabled smartphone. In this way, the Moto Z3 will be the “first 5G-upgradable phone”. That said, the new 5G Moto Mod also has a built-in 2000 mAh battery and this will allow the user to charge the Moto Z3 on-the-go. And this “5G” Mod, speed up 10x faster speeds and lower latency. Speaking about the 5G Moto Mod, the company hasn’t announced the pricing and it will available exclusively in the US, via Verizon.
