Seems like Motorola wants to stand strong this year, that’s why they are slowly shifting themselves to their One line-up. Right now One line-up offers more value than Moto G line-up. As the IFA event is going on and many brands like Sony and Nokia are launching their smartphones, why not Motorola then? So today they unveiled Motorola One Zoom.
The phone has glass on both front and back, with 6000-series aluminium framing around it. The front has some Panda King glass and back has Gorilla Glass 3. It sports a 6.39 inch OLED display with Full HD+ (2340×1080) resolution and has 403 pixel density (ppi). It has 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 octa core chipset clocked at 2Ghz and has Adreno 612 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, along with expandable storage option.
This Motorola One Zoom has quad camera setup at the back. The primary one is 48MP sensor with f1.7 lens, 0.8μm, PDAF, and OIS. Secondary is a 8MP telephoto sensor with f2.4 lens, 3x optical zoom, and OIS. The third one is 16MP ultra wide angle lens with f2.2 lens. Lastly there’s a 5MP depth sensor. It can record videos up to 4K at 30fps. The front facing shooter is 25MP sensor with f2.0 lens.
This device runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box, along with Android One program. It packs in a 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. It had a under display fingerprint sensor. For connectivity, it has 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm jack, FM Radio, and Type-C port. There are Electric Grey, Cosmic Purple, and Brushed Bronze colour options.
Pricing & Availability:
- Motorola One Zoom is priced at €400
- It will be available in Europe starting today itself.
- No information about the availability in other regions.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. I find the camera to be very impressive, at least on paper. If priced correctly it will be a very good phone, as Snapdragon 675 is still used by beasts like Redmi Note 7 Pro. What are your thoughts on Motorola One Zoom?
