New Version Of Bluetooth Announced At CES 2020

Nowadays, we are witnessing for the headphone jack-less smartphones and lots of wireless, as well as Bluetooth, enabled products. To make life easier with more comfortable and make the user’s hands-free. Well, now Bluetooth enabled devices will serve better than now with the new Bluetooth standard which is official at the ongoing CES 2020 event.

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has announced the next generation of Bluetooth audio and that is dubbed as LE (low-energy) Audio. The new Bluetooth version will enhance overall audio performance over a Bluetooth connection, add it will also support more hearing aids, along with the new handy features.

Having said that, the low energy mode is available in Bluetooth since 2012 but till now wireless audio devices required more bandwidth but with the new generation Bluetooth, it will allow wireless audio transmission over the low energy spectrum which will use a new compression algorithm.

LE Audio will also provide high-quality audio output and the upcoming devices with the new Bluetooth standard will able to double playtime. It will also help the manufacturers to make devices more compact by reducing the battery sizes. The new standard will also bring multi-stream audio support and this will allow the Bluetooth powered devices to provide better audio imaging experience.

Furthermore, the newly announced LE Audio will enable Broadcast Audio, which will allow users to broadcast audio to one or more devices at the same time. It also has the ability of the ‘Bluetooth Audio Sharing’ and that can be a personal or location-based setup, which will allow users to share audio with the guys who are around, and large public locations will enable the broadcast audio to a large number of users. Finally, the new standard will also support for hearing aids, and this will help manufacturers to build Bluetooth-powered hearing aids which will help those suffering from hearing loss.
